Automation Project Lead — JP Morgan
Worked on transaction-heavy systems where accuracy, uptime and reconciliation are critical to clients.
Core payment & finance flows
Focusing on the flows that move money and obligations.
- Tested card transactions, authorisations, settlements and related reporting across multiple scenarios.
- Created test cases that looked at both UI and data correctness in downstream systems.
- Helped identify and reproduce tricky edge cases in trade finance workflows and reconciliations.
Data validation & reconciliation
Not just “does the screen look right?” but “is the data correct?”.
- Paid close attention to how data flowed between systems and whether it stayed consistent end-to-end.
- Worked with business and operations teams to define what “correct” means for different fields and balances.
- Used queries and reports to validate correctness beyond what was visible on the UI.
Reliability & risk mindset
Getting used to systems where downtime and defects are expensive.
- Understood the risk lens of banking systems and used it to prioritise testing and bug fixes.
- Reported defects with clear impact statements so that teams could triage effectively.
- Learned to think beyond individual screens and see the bigger financial and client context.
What this added to my toolkit
A strong sensitivity to data correctness and risk.
I bring a banking-level mindset around correctness and risk to
other domains too — e-commerce, healthcare, SaaS — wherever
reliability matters.
